Video Poker Magic Card

GaryJKoehler
Been playing this game on IGT's site
https://igt.com/games/magic-deal-poker-mh-avp-video-poker-mob
(it is available on VideoPoker.com too).
The gist is (almost verbatim from their site):
At maximum bet (10 coins instead of 5), players can be randomly awarded up to three magic cards in the base hand. When they are revealed, the magic cards morph into the best cards remaining in each deck to provide the greatest win on all hands being played. Magic cards complete the best possible hand creating excitement around the draw. For Jacks or Better, the Magic Deal Feature is activated an average of 13.65% when enabled.
I have confirmed, at least with this version, that a Magic Deal card can morph into a discarded card if it would make the best possible hand. For example, given 5C, KD, 2H and 2 Magic Deal cards, I tossed the three non-magic cards for grins. I was dealt a 3S, KC and KS and my Magic Cards morphed into two kings making four kings. So the tossed KD came back to life. I confirmed this behavior with several other hands.
Has anyone else played and noticed this?
Is the game available in casinos yet?
Here is the frequency of Magic Cards I saw in 652 hands:
1 = 73
2 = 17
3 = 1
That is, in 73 of the 652 hands, I was awarded one Magic Deal card.

Magic Deal Poker video poker sits in that category. And like most of these games, it requires a higher bet on each hand for you to set the extra feature into motion. But that extra feature makes it worth your while. On the deal, you have the chance to receive one, two,. You’ll receive five cards on your video poker deal. Because Magic Poker video poker includes a joker as a wild card, you’ll be getting dealt from a deck with 53 cards instead of the standard 52. These cards are constantly being shuffled by the game’s software to ensure that each deal is random.

Never played, never noticed . . . Normally, I favor single play Deuces Are Wild - but when I saw your name on the post (thanks for all your other replies to my posts!), I immediately clicked to try it out!
I like it!
On my Apr visit, I will see where it's available in downtown Las Vegas, but I'm sure fellow posters will reply before then.
Magic Deal for me would be a nice alternative to Ultimate X, which I just tried last Oct 2016.
Is there a general strategy you recommend for either Magic Deal or Ultimate X (I usually play Deuces Are Wild, 3 rows, and maximum play for minimum bet).
Thanks for the share!

So is this similar to Dream Card, but with the possibility of getting up to 3 'wild cards'? The pay tables can't be very good if that's the case. Hello quads every time you get 3 magic cards...
Was the IGT link supposed to go to a game demo? Didn't load a demo for me, and videopoker.com requires Gold to play the game.
rsactuary
It's different than dream card in that on the draw, it can select different cards for each hand of n-play.... instead of the same card each time.
Example: Say you get one wild card and you're dealt Ac Kc 2d 8h W (W = wild card).
if you keep Ac Kc and on hand 1 you draw Qc and Jc.. then the W will be the 10c. If on hand 2 you draw Kh and Kd.. then the W will be Ks... all within the same 'game'

Romes, for me the link gave me this (screenshot)
The IGT site might be 'ornery' (?) - I had to return to the WoV forum and click the link several times.
The VideoPoker.com also shows MagicDeal, but like you said you have to 'go gold' to play (subscribe for $)

Thanks LW, you have more patients than I do. I simply tried to reload the page once and neither time did it load the demo. I gave it 3 more tries and then it did in fact load the demo. =P
EDIT: So I played for about 30 minutes, TDB 10 play... lost 9k in that time frame, while hitting AWAK (aka royal pay) TWICE. Also got 9 'magic card deals' in which I got '1' magic card every single time.

'At maximum bet, players can be randomly awarded up to three magic cards in the base hand' - Randomly up to 3 my ass... I got 1 every single time.
(1/3)^9 = .000051 = .0051% chance (~1 in 20,000) of that happening, right?
EDIT 2: I'm also massively under the average... for TDB it's just barely over 4% of the time you should get a magic card deal. I guarantee I played 500 hands per my 30 min (more really, I'm rounding down)... and that's 10 hand, so I played 5k hands (though only 500 unique starts)... still 500*.04 = 20, and I've only had 9 magic card deals.
Either I run HORRIBLE on practice games, or there's definitely some bugs to work out.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.
Romes
Switched over to regular DB (10%+ of getting magic deal)... got about 10 magic deals so far... ALL ONE CARD still.
So, supposedly 1 in 3 chance REGARDLESS of game (at least both said that in the 2 rules I read).... So I'm at about (1/3)^19 = .00000007 = .000007% = ~1 in 1.5 billion.
ANYONE else gotten more than 'one' magic card on a magic card deal???

I played it on Videopoker.com and got 1,2 and 3 magic cards. I did not keep exact track, but my distribution was probably somewhat similar to the OP's.
Videopoker will probably run it as a daily or weekly contest sometime soon which are open to all for free.

No worries, my pleasure. Well, in terms of patience, maybe I have the advantage of a little bit more flexi time than you. Actually, when I first posted I had 2 incentives: (a) to return the favor of Gary's replies to my post about my upcoming VP Tournament, and (b) finally got a chance (just a small notch) to return the favor of your many, many helpful suggestions.

I am wondering what numbers would make Magic Deal a game with positive EV? (I think I'm just starting now to ask more mathematically-based questions . . . ) Your 2 replies indicate (to me) that the game may have some bugs.
I went back into Magic Deal a second time, and I played maximum bet for Deuces Wild, and got rewarded with this on my first deal (no Magic Card). I still haven't played enough to get a MagicCard, but getting dealt an RF (even if w/3 2s) sure feels good. The other game I plan to play is Ultimate X, but I'm going to look for Magic Card in Apr in downtown Las Vegas.
